Almonte’s own Noreen Young has created more than 50 puppets of Mississippi Mills’ residents. Noreen is one of Canada’s most revered puppeteers and has been making puppets for most of her life. She is the inspiration and artistic director of the popular International Puppet Festival held the second weekend in August of each year.
