It’s 113 °F with the humidity at the moment but that’s not keeping folks away from Canada Day events in Almonte.
The turnout has been good for the classic car show on Mill Street and the Canada Day craft market at Old Town Hall. Both events wrap up mid-afternoon and then the fun moves to Gemill Park at 3:30, with entertainment, a BBQ and lots of kid’s activities. (Speaking of which, I suspect the kids may be sharing the new splash pad with an adult or two). Fireworks at dusk.
