Heather Baird (right) accepts a $1,000 cheque for the Almonte General Hospital / Fairview Manor Foundation from Tamra Benjamin, Nordion’s Vice-President Public and Government Relations. Heather received the cheque as part of Nordion’s Employee Giving Program, in which employees nominate organizations/causes in their communities to receive donations. An Almonte resident, Heather nominated the Almonte General Hospital / Fairview Manor Foundation because she is grateful to have the facility in her community and recognizes the importance of maintaining the high quality health services it provides.
