I’ve spent today and yesterday largely hiding from the brutally cold temperatures that have descended on our region since Friday. To make myself feel warmer I’ve spent time looking through photos I’ve taken locally in happier weather.
I took the photo above while kayaking with my daughter Erica on Stump Lake a few years back, July 2013 I think. This is a lovely and likely little-known lake near Elphin and is part of the Mississippi River system. It’s well worth a look, once sunnier weather is with us.
