Ottawa-based Media Production company is working with young local actors to develop a “Pick your Path” adventure series.

Four talented local Ottawa kids and GoFer Productions, are excited to see audiences supporting the trailer of their new detective web series Maggins Mysteries.

The series follows the adventures of the three Maggins children as they solve mysteries from their backyard tree house. The live action web series follows Max (Jack Dillabough, 13 from Nepean), Miles (Kyle Meagher, 11, from Orleans), and Maddie Maggins (Frances O’Neill, 10 from Almonte) as they investigate the peculiar mysteries that always seem to occur in Shady Falls. With the help of their nervous ally Johnny (Aaron Phillips, 12 from Nepean), and the viewers, no mystery can go unsolved.

“Filming the pilot episode was an amazing experience.” said Kyle Meagher (Miles Maggins) “The GoFer Productions team were so fun to work with. I loved zip-lining through the trees and snowshoeing – it really didn’t feel like we were working!”

Maggins Mysteries offers a unique programming experience for kids by offering an interactive feature that provides the viewer with the ability to “Pick your Path.” At the end of each episode, two options will be presented, and the viewers will have the opportunity to choose which clues the Maggins will follow next, ultimately deciding the direction of the investigation.

“We think this is a great way to get children to actively participate in a show instead of just watching passively” says producer of Maggins Mysteries, Nikki Mosca. “Kids today enjoy a variety of new media experiences and this provides them with more control and choice over what they want to see.”

“I love the character I get to play because she loves Amelia Earhart who made a big change in the world for women.” says Frances O’Neill (Maddie Maggins).

Maggins Mysteries has recently been submitted to the Independent Production Fund (IPF) in the hopes of securing financing to produce the full series.

“We all got along great and I hope we get to work together soon to find the Sasquatch” says Jack Dillabough (Max Maggins) “ View the trailer to find out the secret ingredient in my science experiment.”
