Canna indica ‘Purpurea’
A tall, upright canna with large, lance-shaped dark purple leaves and
slender flowering stems bearing panicles of soft orange/red, iris-like
flowers.
Very vigorous and easy to grow. Grow in rich, fertile, moist but
well-drained soil in sun/part shade. These plants can reach up to 6-8 feet
tall and are best planted at the back of the garden. Use slow-release
fertilizer that is high in nitrogen.
Beautiful and very healthy rhizomes planted indoors in containers and have
sprouted leaves. They are currently between 6 to 24 inches tall are ready to
be planted outdoors (in mid-May). Because they have been started indoors,
they have a good headstart and will grow and flourish for months of flowers
