Cathy Reside’s Good Food Tours, which launched in Almonte in the summer of 2017 with foodie tours of restaurants, shops and microbreweries is launching its second season and has expanded its activities to Carleton Place. As Cathy says in a CBC interview on In Town and Out this morning, she was a church secretary when she visited Las Vegas two years ago and was the only person on a foodie tour there. Her tour guide was passionate about the small businesses in her community and Cathy had an Aha moment. She thought that this was just the thing for Almonte, which has become a foodie destination and has heaps of historical interest and charming architecture. The Good Food Tour has been nominated for the New Company of the Year Award by Ottawa Tourism. Listen to Cathy’s interview with Giacomo Panico on this morning’s In Town and Out.
