Could be a rough commute tomorrow

A reminder to readers who — like me — have to commute to downtown Ottawa: a convoy of several hundred trucks from Alberta, protesting various federal policies, is expected to arrive in front of Parliament Hill tomorrow morning.

Wellington Street will be closed between Kent and Elgin starting at 8 a.m. and buses are being rerouted or rescheduled.

According to CTV News the convoy is currently assembling at Arnprior, so it could also be mighty slow coming into the city on the 417 in the morning.

If you don’t absolutely have to be at the office you may want to consider other arrangements.
