As the end of my vacation nears I have opened my email to get ready for my return only to find an anonymous letter defaming the municipal staff. I totally endorse John Edward’s response and I was pleased to read the other comments by your readers on anonymous letters.
I do feel that the hard part of commenting on such behavior is giving them any recognition. This is not the first time that I have seen this tactic in local politics but fortunately, I have never seen it work. No one who establishes their lack of moral courage this way is likely to sway any voters. When I receive anonymous letters in my mail or email I drop them in the garbage bin (real or virtual) where they belong.
