Well, we tried every which way to keep the rail line, but CP was determined. We have heard the plaintive hooting of train whistles from time to time as CP moved out the steel rails from up the valley. They have reached Mississippi Mills now Al Lunney took these pictures of CP workmen removing the rail lines from the bridge in Almonte. One wonders whether the new management at CP would make the same decision.
