Almonte Safari Dinner Fundraiser raises over $800 for the Hunger Stop, the Lanark County Foodbank.
What are the ingredients to a successful (fundraising) recipe?
For house to house grazing of amazing appetizers, followed by mouth-watering main dishes and finished with delightful deserts – all for a great cause: our local foodbank
Happily, mix comforting, known faces with new-found friends; fold in beautifully decorated tables, in and around Almonte; whisk together the cookbook quality presentations, blend in the sounds of laughter, with a dusting of lip smacking; puree until the kindness, generosity and willingness of all involved in this fundraising adventure gels to a warm, glowing epicurean delight. Heart Healthy in all ways!
Heartfelt thanks to Project Leader Denise Beaulne and Karen Gallagher for organizing a most fruitful evening of fifteen couples meandering door to door in Almonte for food, friendship, and a wonderful, worthwhile cause!
We could not have done it without some pretty dauntless and enthusiastic participant-hosts. Thank you to all 31 hosts and to all who donated. ♥ Karen and Denise
