I stopped in to visit the good folks at the Almonte Sign Company on Robert Street and ordered a small batch of Save Our River lawn signs. These measure 24″ x 16″ and come complete with a wire stand. They sell for only $20 cash each. (If you don’t have a lawn, you can put one in your window.)
Sandra and Lise from Pêches & Poivre at 89 Mill Street have kindly agreed to distribute the signs. Stop by their excellent specialty food shop for yours. Once the initial batch runs out the shop will take orders for more. Please pay when you place your order. The next run should be ready by Tuesday or Wednesday next week.
Folks, $20 isn’t a lot of money to spend to help save the heart of our town from being blasted and dredged and built over by Enerdu. Better still, the profits from the sale of these signs will stay here in Almonte — unlike those from the Enerdu project. Please drop by Pêches & Poivre and order yours.
