Home Hospice North Lanark (HHNL) is currently seeking dedicated, community-minded individuals to join its Board of Directors and help guide the organization into its next chapter of growth and service.
HHNL welcomes applications from individuals across North Lanark representing diverse backgrounds, cultures, age groups, genders, and abilities. Board members play a vital role in ensuring the organization continues to provide compassionate, high-quality support to individuals and families facing life-limiting illness.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
- A strong commitment to the mission of Home Hospice North Lanark
- Availability to prepare for and attend monthly Board meetings (excluding December, July, and August)
- Willingness to participate on at least one Board committee
- Strategic thinking and strong problem-solving skills
- An understanding of the structure, challenges, and financial realities of charitable organizations
- Confidence in sharing ideas and providing thoughtful guidance
- The ability to collaborate respectfully with a diverse group of individuals
HHNL is particularly interested in candidates with experience in fundraising, healthcare, leadership and finance.
As a community-based organization, HHNL provides all of its programs and services free of charge. Without sustained government funding, the organization relies heavily on fundraising and community support. Candidates with strong community connections and the ability to support fundraising initiatives are especially encouraged to apply.
Home Hospice North Lanark offers support and advocacy for adults living with a life-limiting or terminal diagnosis, as well as for their caregivers. Services include assistance navigating the healthcare system, bereavement support, and public education. HHNL serves Almonte, Carleton Place, Appleton, Clayton, Beckwith, Blakeney, Pakenham, and surrounding areas.
