As a symbol
It is with aching hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Kevin.
Kevin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend to many.
The embodiment of a Renaissance man — Kevin was a poet, a philomath, a collector of books, a crossword puzzle whip. A lover of opera, bowties and Irish whiskey.
Restaurateur of forty years, Kevin was a consummate host to the thousands of people who passed through his restaurant doors. He mentored those who worked alongside him with patience, kindness and often a quick wit.
An active member of his community, Kevin was generous and philanthropic. The world could use more of Kevin.
Thank you to the teams Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto General Hospital, Sunnybrook and St Joseph’s for the kind and loving care Kevin received.
To Dr. Wilson Lam and the transplant team at Princess Margaret, and to the donor who gave us two more wonderful years with our Kevin, words cannot begin to express our gratitude.
When the time allows, we will come together to celebrate Kevin. Until then, please raise a glass. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
