Bill Mason original painting for sale

Are you a fan of the late, GREAT Bill Mason, the Canadian recognized both nationally & internationally as an avid canoeist, environmentalist, filmmaker, photographer, artist and public speaker? If so, and if you were in Almonte “way-back-when”, you may have attended the biggest social event of April 2014: an exhibition & sale of Bill Mason’s original artwork at the Philip K. Wood Gallery on Mill Street, in Almonte.

And, it really was a super exciting event, as Bill’s paintings sold out within about 40 minutes! (Phil Wood might know the exact time frame.) TV crews arrived, a line to enter the gallery to view the paintings snaked down Mill Street for hours – even after all the art was sold – and art collectors called from around the globe (I remember Germany) to purchase paintings, which were not for sale to anyone who wasn’t in attendance (a stipulation from the Mason family).

In any case, if you missed that chance, you now have this one. I am hoping to sell my Bill Mason painting of a “Windless Day” – as pictured in Bill Mason’s Canoescapes. I am asking $2200.00 for this framed painting (and you can keep the book too). If you are interested, please contact me at jillkmc@gmail.com

If interested in Bill Mason’s life & works, Google points to so much info on the man & his career, but you might also try the Mason family’s knowledgeable website, where other paintings (none as nice as “Windless Day”, which has a red canoe hidden on shore) are for sale: https://www.redcanoes.ca/
