Some very sad news, especially just before Christmas: One local teen has died and another has been charged with impaired driving after a crash on the 8th Concession near Cedar Hill Road.
The OPP responded to a single-vehicle accident shortly before midnight on Monday. Constable Corey Noonan told CTV News, “A passenger was found trapped in the car, while the driver and another passenger were able to get out. Members of the Mississippi Mills Fire Department were able to free the trapped individual.”
An 18-year-old from Mississippi Mills was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other people were taken to hospital with minor injuries and released, the OPP said.
A 17-year-old is facing charges of operation while impaired causing death, operation while impaired causing bodily harm and operation while impaired – alcohol concentration (80 plus).
