Two motions brought forward by Councillors Shaun McLaughlin and Duncan Abbott will be discussed at the Committee of the Whole of the Mississippi Town Council at about 6:30 this evening.
The first motion brought forward by Councillor McLaughlin indicates Council’s disapproval of the Enerdu Project and moves that the Premier of Ontario, the ministers of Energy, Environment, Culture and Resources, and the Enerdu proponent be advised. Councillor Abbbott’s motion expresses concern at the high water levels in the Mississippi River and ask that the MNR and MVCA review allowable water levels .
