Mississippi Mills road crews working to clear municipal roads

Town of Mississippi Mills road crews are working hard to clear the municipality’s roads of snow accumulation experienced from the recent storm which began on Wednesday.  In total, approximately 25 cm of wet snow fell locally within the last 24 hours accounting for one of the more significant weather events this winter.

Snow removal and sidewalk clearing in the urban areas will be commenced Thursday with a second shift scheduled for Friday night.  All snow removal operations will be performed on a priority basis with expected completion on Saturday morning.

Residents are reminded that on-street winter parking prohibitions remain in force and effect daily between the hours of 1:30am and 7:00am.

Further questions may be directed to the Roads and Public Works Department by calling 613-256-2064 ext. 258.
