We received this letter from a reader today. We entirely agree.
Most home owners try to keep lawns trim and tidy. In our neighborhood there are well over thirty dogs. We have had problems with dog owners toileting their dogs on our property. It costs money in fertilizers, additional soil, time and energy to keep a lawn looking good. One dog eliminating on a lawn promotes the next dog to do the same. On our property we have a lot of damage to our grass from thoughtless owners who allow their dog to do this.
Please remind dog owners to be good neighbours and citizens — find some place other than your neighbor’s lawn to toilet your dog.
