Sources have informed the Millstone that a major incident has taken place at the Brian Gallagher Generating Station. Scott Newton, General Manager of the Mississippi RIver Power Corporation has confirmed that a problem has arisen with one of the penstocks (large pipes that carry water underneath the riverbed to the station). An investigation is currently being carried out and Newton has promised to bring us up to date as soon as more is known.
