As it has been for some years now, November 11 was mostly sunny but cool as several hundred people gathered at the Almonte Cenotaph to observe Remembrance Day.
The ceremony, organized by the local Branch 240 of the Royal Canadian Legion, was a solemn commemoration of Canadian lives lost in past wars.
