St. George’s Anglican Church at 2786 Tatlock Road is hosting their annual fiddle service on Sunday June 7. Nine fiddlers led by Kyle Felhaver on fiddle and John Mitchell on piano will begin a musical prelude at 10am. Rev. Robert Sicard will lead morning prayer featuring seven well known and loved hymns accompanied by the guest musicians beginning at 10:30am. After the fiddle postlude, a light lunch will be available.
St. George’s will make a donation to the Danny O’Connell Memorial Fund which presents a bursary each year to a young Ottawa Valley fiddler. It is important to encourage and nurture this special Canadian musical heritage.
