Statue of Mary mysteriously donated to Holy Name of Catholic Church in Almonte

BVM statue4This small outdoor statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary mysteriously showed up last summer in the flower bed in front of Holy Name of Mary Catholic church, in Almonte,  the day before a Saturday wedding.  The Parish thought it might have been temporarily placed there by a family member for the wedding.  The wedding came and went but the statue remained.  About a week later the statue was given a fresh coat of white paint by persons unknown, presumably at night since no one seemed to know who did it.  Last Fall the statue was stored in the church garage to avoid damage by the winter weather, and this spring the statue was put it back in the place where it mysteriously appeared previously. The Parishioners are quite pleased with this donation and are delighted that the donor would take the time effort to make this statue available.
