Steve Clark — obituary

Clark, Steven Franklin

Peacefully, on Friday, April 18, 2025, in his 79th year.

The first of eight children, Steve was raised on the family farm in Ramsay Township. He enjoyed a long and fulfilling career in the federal public service until his retirement in 1998.

Predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Alma Clark.

Cherished brother to Wendy (Ted Logan), Andrew, Faye Spicer (Jim), Julie Snedden (Allan), Jennifer Liddle (John), Patricia Donaldson (Dan), and Marjorie Clark-Vaughan (Christopher).

Beloved Uncle Steve to his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

His sense of humour and steady presence will be deeply missed by his family who will fondly remember him on holidays, at family gatherings, and in the familiar routines he loved — a cold beer at the lake, a rock and roll record playing, cutting the grass on a sunny afternoon, or a hearty Sunday dinner.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the dedicated team at Almonte Country Haven for their care and compassion.

In memory of Steve, donations can be made to the Carleton Place and District Memorial Hospital.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Steve’s life:

Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.

C.R. Gamble’s Funeral Home and Chapel with Rev. Fr. David Andrews officiating.

Interment and reception to follow.
