A tractor-trailer carrying about a hundred Sugar Maples, together with MM and County backhoes and a crew of hard-working volunteers, arrived at the rail trail behind the Library to begin planting the ‘alameda’ this morning. As of 3 PM it had already largely taken shape.
This welcome addition to downtown has been funded through contributions from the public, with the town and County donating services. Cavanagh Construction contributed soil to help the trees thrive. Work continues as of 4 PM.
