The Mississippi Mills Public Library declares food for fines a success

The Mississippi Mills Public Library is reporting great success with its food for fines program. In December, it permitted patrons to pay fines by donating food or paying cash in return for a 50% reduction on the fines. The library received 247 food items and $298.25 in cash, all of which has been donated to the Lanark County Food Bank.
