Today is my birthday.
A time to celebrate
but more importantly to
remember, reflect and cheer !
1960
A promise filled with hope.
A symbol of unity.
Unchartered roads to explore and share.
The start of a new adventure began.
1965
As my family , friends and neighbours gathered
as I enter elementary school,
a new Canadian flag proudly waving.
Nurturing friendship and open hearts to all.
As the years passed,
so many Canada Day celebrations
shared with family, friends and neighbours
as I proudly hold near to me my Canadian flag.
2025
60 years have passed.
Another special celebration.
Not only for me.
But especially for my beloved flag.
As I celebrate a special birthday,
And I raise my flag and say ,
Proud to be a Canadian !
