Puppets Up! is presenting a fun fall variety show — called a Chautauqua — as a fundraiser for the 2026 festival and the new Noreen Young Award for the Arts. Taking place at 2 pm and 7:30 pm on Saturday, November 15, this fabulous event will feature singing, dancing, stand-up comedy and recitation, and absolutely NO puppetry. OK, well, maybe a little bit of puppetry.
Don’t miss this opportunity to see local performers strut their stuff on stage at the Almonte Old Town Hall. You’ll delight in the vocal stylings of ADHS student Maggie Boughner (who recently starred as Wednesday Addams in the Mudds’ youth production of The Addams Family), Jennifer Noxon’s wonderful Rhythm and Song community choir, and an amazing new barbershop quartet. You’ll howl at the antics of Zach and the RollerBabes, the stand-up début of Darren Brocklehurst, and the talented Bobby Knauff — who was a semi-finalist in SiriusXM Canada’s Next Top Comic, won the 2012 Toronto Comedy Brawl, and has toured across Canada with Yuk Yuks.
