The Friends of the Library offered a Christmas Book Sale in 2024 and it was such a success we are doing it again this year. Unlike the Annual Book Sale this is not an opportunity to drop off your used books, it is an opportunity to do some Christmas shopping. The sale will feature books of every genre in good to near-new condition, some sold individually, some sold in festive sets. Many are wrapped and sealed with a beautiful bow.
The Sale will be held the first weekend in December at the Rexall Mall, 430 Ottawa St. in Almonte. This year the dates are: Friday, December 5, from Noon – 5pm. Saturday, December 6, from 10am to 4pm, and Saturday, December 7, from 11am – 3 pm.
We invite you to come, experience a holiday atmosphere with the Friends, purchase some wonderful Christmas gifts and support our library. One man buys 12 books for his wife for Christmas every year, one for every month of the New Year. What a great idea, and the sale price makes it affordable!!! You could do it for kids as well!
