The Beckwith Heritage Committee, in partnership with the Lanark County Genealogical Society, is pleased to announce the 2026 Beckwith Heritage Bus Tour: Pioneers of Business — a special guided journey celebrating the industrious spirit that shaped Beckwith’s early communities.

This year’s tour highlights the remarkable enterprises that fueled Beckwith’s growth from the 19th century onward. Participants will explore historic sites connected to:
- Bush harvesting
- Local business owners
- Cheese factories
- Ice harvesting
- Potash production
- Railways
- Stone quarries
- Early villages and settlement hubs
These stops offer a rare opportunity to learn how local families and industries contributed to the economic foundation of Beckwith Township and the surrounding region.
