Local resident Don Lea, 79, has been asked not to play with his old team, the Almonte “Old Timers”. He is fit and had hoped to play until he turned 80, but the team cited safety concerns when it returned his registration fee. Citizen reporter Wayne Scanlon picked up the story in the Ottawa Citizen, but it was also featured in the Saskatoon StarPhoenix.
