I have heard from two rural landowners that they received a $115 septage levy with their recent tax bill for property that does not have a residence. That should not happen. Should you see a septage charge on any property that does not have a dwelling, contact Rhonda Witmarsh our town Treasurer: Ph. (613) 256-2064 ext. 262. She will correct it.
Should you one day build a residence on your vacant rural land, expect a septage development charge related to that construction.
