Another Almonte lad on CBC’s Dragon’s Den

EDITOR’S NOTE: Bryan Sadler sends us this exciting news. Readers will recall that Almonte’s own Dan Fallak made a big splash on the same show just last year.

As a fellow Almonte native/resident, I wanted to let you know that I’ve been selected to appear in an upcoming episode of DRAGONS’ DEN, airing Thursday, December 7th 2017, at 8:00 PM  (8:30 NT) on CBC Television.

I launched my product Holly’s Magical Mistletoe last Christmas. Holly’s Magical Mistletoe is an exciting new Christmas Kissing Tradition for couples and families alike! This fun twist on the classic tradition allows people to find their inner child and bond over something truly magical: Christmas kisses. It includes a Christmas book, mistletoe sprig and a fun interactive activity, all in one!

Each night during the holidays, someone plays the role of Holly the elf, and hangs her magical sprig where it can be found the next day and kissed beneath. More often than not, Holly’s mistletoe is discovered in the most bizarre and unexpected places, leading to a lot of fun, laughter and exciting kissing adventures!

I am grateful for all the support I’ve received in my hometown and I’d love to talk to you about my experience pitching on the show. Please feel free to contact me at to set up an interview or to sample my product, Holly’s Magical Mistletoe in advance of my appearance.

Launching a business is no small task. No matter how big an idea you think you have, it still takes a lot of work and a ton of cash. Enter DRAGONS’ DEN, where aspiring entrepreneurs pitch their business concepts and products to a panel of Canadian business moguls who have the cash and the know-how to make it happen. They’ve all been there themselves, so pitchers better not enter the Den unprepared. It takes more than passion to convince these boardroom barons that an idea is worth their investment. The Dragons are ruthless and rightly so – it’s their own personal money on the line.

One of the most successful Canadian reality programs, DRAGONS’ DEN reached nearly one-quarter of all Canadians through the course of the 2016/17 season. In addition to its success on-air, DRAGONS’ DEN is also a hit online, boasting an active and engaged online community and averaging nearly 93,000 page views per week. Full episodes and exclusive behind-the-scenes content can be viewed at

DRAGONS’ DEN is filmed at the CBC Broadcasting Centre in Toronto and airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. (8:30 NT) on CBC Television. Tracie Tighe is executive producer and Christopher Nelson and Yette Vandendam are senior producers. Dianne Buckner hosts.
