This afternoon Erica and Jamie McKay lead members of the Mississippi Mills Family Bicycle Club from St. Augusta Park in Almonte to the Fish and Game Club Park in Blakeney, under warm, sunny skies.
Upon their arrival, they were treated to an informative tour of the park by Blakeney resident, Cornelius Berg who is a wealth of knowledge in all things horticultural.
Along with the interesting commentary on the various species, Cornelius pointed out the seeds from last year’s poison ivy plants, where we can expect to find the plants again this year. You should have been there!
Don’t forget to mark your calendars for June 6th when the club will host a Street Party on Mill Street, with a potluck dinner, music, games and an outdoor movie.
