McCook, Robert “Bob”
With broken hearts we announce the death of Bob McCook on September 30, 2021. Known by all as caring, modest, intelligent and honourable. A humanist with a dry wit, he was admired for his tenacious, patient, and loyal qualities. “I understand, I agree, however” was a favourite phrase, using it to bring a fresh perspective to any discussion. This time, those of us who loved Bob will not permit the “however” because we insist that our description of him is true. A public servant, community volunteer, generous host, and faithful friend, he was above all a family man. Mourning him are his wife Marny, daughters Stephanie (Ben) and Emily, grandchildren Noémie, Marin and Simon, sisters Katherine and Sheila, and in-laws Diane (Keith), Jack (Marilyn), and Nancy.
