The CBC’s Giacomo Panico brought his “In Town and Out” show to Almonte this morning for a special three-hour live broadcast from Palms on Mill Street.
In a mix of live and pre-recorded segments, the show touched on a range of local topics, from our early history to the role of young women entrepreneurs in reviving retail downtown, our experience welcoming Syrian refugee families, and the preservation and repurposing of historic buildings.
Local guests on the show included Michael Dunn, Baker Bob, Don St. John, Bob Volks, Emily Arbour, Pat Arbour, Vicki Veenstra, Mary Pal, Jeff Mills, Sandy Irvin, Stephen Brathwaite, Sally Parsons, Chandler Swain, Jennie Munro, Wayne Lockhart, Ken Friesen, Nour Jarous and the Millstone’s own Edith Cody-Rice.
