District 7 Senior Games winners, 2023

The District 7 local games for the winners to qualify for the Ontario Senior Games at Brantford from August 9-11, 2023 were held in May and June. There are 27 winners locally going to the next level. Six people are driving on their own and 21 are going on a bus. When they arrive in Brantford they are assigned to a hotel where their event will be held or buses will be provided to transfer them to facilities elsewhere such as a golf course.

We have the following participants: Darts -4, Bid Euchre-6, Euchre-4, Cribbage -4, Lawn Bowling- 1 Triples team and 1 Doubles team, Golf-1 and Bowling -1.

The local Executive wishes to thank all who volunteered to convene local events and the local facilities such as the Carleton Place Legion, the Almonte Lawn Bowling Club, the Terrace and Orchard View who hosted events. The Terrace even provided the euchre players a lunch!

The Annual meeting was held in the morning of June 23 at the Carleton Place Legion with a banquet following. Everyone was happy to hear the former Executive agreed to carry on-
