Fire ban on but Town fireworks go ahead

Fireworks shows still planned for Almonte & Pakenham despite complete fire ban

Mississippi Mills Fire Department recommends attending a public fireworks display rather than putting on your own due to the hot temperatures and mainly dry conditions.

Mississippi Mills hosts two fireworks shows June 30th in Pakenham and July 1st in Almonte. Both shows are start at dusk.

Mississippi Mills has issued a complete fire ban effective immediately. There is no burning (including campfires) permitted in Mississippi Mills until further notice. The Mississippi Mills Fire Department reminds all residents that you are responsible and liable for all open air fires and are subject to fines and penalties.

Thank you,

Pascal Meunier
Fire Chief
