Merry Christmas!!! Again, so sorry for being away for so long. Between work and trying to sell our home (yes we are trying to sell our house…moving closer to Almonte!), I haven’t had any spare time for fun stuff like birding!
I thought I would pop on and post some highlights from last year. I was also fortunate enough to capture a Snowy Owl on camera a few weeks ago. I spotted the Snowy on the Kinburn ‘on ramp’ to Highway 417, East Bound.
Also, just today, I spotted my first Common RedPoll! Beautiful little birds in the finch family. If you saw Brent Eades’ post here you will see they are once again in the area. 2 years ago we were fortunate enough to have many Redpolls in the area. They are beautiful little birds. One of the highlights I have posted below is one of my Redpoll photos that won me a Lowepro Camera bag from a CTV photo contest.
