For the Birds and Nature: Summer fun!

Cheryl

by Cheryl Baxter

Hello everyone!  What can I say?  I have been slow to get on the Millstone to add some of my finds. It has been quite a busy summer so far and I wanted to make sure I had enough variety to offer.

Interestingly enough, the highlight of my summer so far, happened yesterday when I was fortunate enough to witness and photograph my first hummingbird’s nest!  You will find the photos below.  Anyhow, for the rest, you will see photos that I took around my yard, a lot of garden shots. I have a lot of beautiful flowers I have been tending to with extra care and water!!  It has really been a dry season! I also photographed a rainbow, frogs, other feathered friends and some landscape photos.  My hubby and I went canoeing on Clayton Lake and the Mississippi river in Appleton and I managed to capture some photographs each time.

I hope everyone finds themselves well and stay tuned for photos when we get back from our vacation time in the next month or so.  We will be heading to Gaspé, to le Rocher Percé!  I am hoping to catch photos of whales, Puffins, and Northern Gannets, just to name a few subjects!

Take care, & enjoy the beauty that surrounds us!
