For the Birds: Nature Trails

Cheryl

by Cheryl Baxter

Another Monday! Hope you are having a good start to the week.

This week I wanted to share some photos that I took as a good friend and I went to Old Quarry Trail in West Ottawa.

If ever you are in need of a pick-me-up, or just wanted to enjoy some bird therapy. Bring your bird seeds to one of the numerous nature trails in the Ottawa area.  You will enjoy the experience of having nuthatches and chickadees eat bird seed right out of your hands!  Or wherever you choose to put the seeds.

Please enjoy some of my shots…and I have included one photo that my friend, Lisa Flewellyn snapped of me with a little Red-breasted Nuthatch.

Also, I have captured numerous birds on my property once again…even a lifer!  A Lincoln’s Sparrow!  AND, we have our Juncos back again.  That only means that winter is on the doorstep.

Have a fabulous week of feathers, wings and beaks!
