At 305 King Street, kitty-corner to Naismith Memorial Public School, the new owners are raising the roof of the house and much more.  Each day there are changes.

 The house at 305 King Street, on the corner at Arthur Street, is going up, way up.

 If the crane comes back, watch for further work on the tower of the former Methodist Church, known locally as the Dungarvan building, at the corner of Union Street North and Main Street East.

On July 13 the top of the tower was taken off, as reported by Brent Eades in The Millstone News.

The landscape north of Almonte District High School, between Stephen and Brookdale Streets, is changing quickly as heavy equipment operators level the property for a new  football field and track.

The south end of the property, along Stephen Street next to ADHS, is being raised up.  At the north end, along Brookdale, a considerable amount of sedimentary limestone bedrock must be removed to lower the topography.
