I was on a back-road tour around Almonte and Pakenham today and came across this nice view of the Indian River along Concession 7B. We surely are blessed to live in such a lovely part of the world.

Last week I was in the same area and saw a small flock of Sandhill Cranes in a field on Cedar Hill Road (below.) These are not especially common visitors to our area, so I was thrilled so see them. I was tipped off to their presence by local photographer Cheryl Prang Baxter.
