JaneTorrance.ca deputy mayor campaign website launched

Campaign press release.

August 30, 2018 – Jane Torrance is running for the position of Deputy Mayor and she has just launched her campaign website.

JaneTorrance.ca is now live.

The new website provides voters with detailed background of the experience the three-time Mississippi Mills Councilor brings to this important job. Torrance’s theme is “A positive voice of experience dedicated to residents of all ages, and to community prosperity throughout Mississippi Mills.”

Over the course of the next month, her website will explain why the vote for the Deputy Mayor position is so important for our community. Are you aware that the candidate winning this deputy mayor race will sit on both the local municipal Council and on the Lanark County Council?

“For the past four years, I have assumed the duties of Deputy Mayor without the official title, including representing Mississippi Mills at Lanark County Council,” states Jane Torrance. “It is very important that we have a strong voice that will speak out for the interests of our community at both council tables. I have a solid track record at the County Council of actively helping to develop economic and social policy and, at the same time, standing up for Mississippi Mills residents.”

“I look forward to revealing the many challenging issues before us at our Town Council and at the County Council. From my experience, I will relate how these issues interplay between the two councils. I know that effective leadership ensures good decision-making at both levels of government,” says Torrance.

“I look forward to continuing to bring my positive leadership approach to both councils to get the most for our community,” adds Torrance.

Check the new website regularly. Blog posts and news releases will outline key policy areas for Mississippi Mills voters to review before the October 22 election. Follow both the news section on JaneTorrance.ca and get the latest from her campaign by following her Facebook (Jane4Deputy) Twitter (@Jane4Deputy) or Instagram (@deputyjanecampaign) accounts.
