In early March, Ottawa newspapers quoted me as saying ATV users were scofflaws. It was not my intention to label all ATV and OVR users as lawless. I intended the context to apply to a highly visible minority of people, who others and I regularly see ignoring prohibitions on ATV/OVR use on Almonte streets, on the unopened OVRT, and in Almonte and Pakenham parks.
It was not my intention to lump the majority of law-abiding and responsible ATV/OVR users under the scofflaw label. I regret that I may have offended some people.
