Michael Walsh of Arnprior drowns at Pakenham

The person who drowned on July 17  in the Mississippi River at Pakenham near Kinburn Side Road has been identified as 51 year old Michael Walsh of Arnprior. Mr. Walsh slipped beneath fast moving water after he dove in to retrieve a fallen sandal. He did not resurface. His body was recovered and taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
