December has arrived so I feel it’s time to say Merry Christmas! May your holidays be filled with good books and the time to read them.
Drop by the store this Sunday from 1:30 – 3:00 pm to meet Jill Moxley and James Powell who will sign their new book Faking It: The History of Counterfeiting in Canada. Last week Guy Thatcher signed his new book about walking the Camino and the Newtons dropped off copies of their latest DVD about the history of Almonte. Great local gift ideas!
We are trying to get photos of everyone who shops in the store this month for our poster – please step up and smile for the camera! If you were so organized you bought everything already, come in anyway and be acknowledged for helping to make our store thrive.
Our Book Club choice for January 8th is The Cellist of Sarajevo. Meet at 7:00 pm at the store.
Christmas shopping is fun for us! It’s like going on a scavenger hunt as we try to match your list to our selection. There is still time to place special order requests – but for your peace of mind, the sooner the better! Most shops are open late on Thursdays until Christmas. We will be open late the week before Christmas too. Call to let us know you are on your way and we’ll keep the doors open.
