OPP drug bust nets a stash of drugs and weapons

On Thursday February 12^th, 2015, the OPP Drug Enforcement Unit (Ottawa), OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, OPP Emergency Response Team and the OPP Lanark County Crime Unit, executed a Section 11 Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrant at 607 Turners Road, Mississippi Mills Township, Ontario.

At the conclusion of the search police located and seized the following drugs:

• Cocaine, Oxycodone tablets, methamphetamine tablets, cannabis resin – solid (hash), cannabis marihuana bud.

In addition to the drugs police also seized:

• 4 shotguns (two loaded “sawed off” and deemed prohibited)
• Expandable Baton
• Cross Bow
• Conducted Energy Weapon (taser)
• Replica Glock hand gun
• Handmade choking mechanism
• Cocaine Press
• 410 calibre ammunition
• Cellular phones
• Debt lists
• Packaging material
• Digital weigh scales
• $625 Canadian currency – cash

As a result of this investigation the following charges were laid:

Travis MOORE (21), born July 10^th, 1993 was charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Schedule II Substance, marihuana. He was released on a Promise to Appear and an OIC Undertaking.  First appearance is scheduled for Monday April 27^th, 2015.

Katie WALSH (28), born August 3^rd, 1986 was charged with Possession of a Schedule II Substance and subsequently released on a Promise to Appear / Officer in Charge Undertaking with conditions. First appearance is scheduled for Monday April 27th, 2015

Curtis McCALLUM (29), born January 7^th, 1986 was charged with Possession of a Schedule I Substance – cocaine, Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Marihuana, Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Resin and Breach Probation. He was released on a Promise to Appear and an OIC Undertaking. First appearance is scheduled for Monday April 27th, 2015.

Trevor MOORE (26), born May 14^th, 1988 was held in custody and charged with the following criminal offences:

•  Possession Schedule I Substance – Cocaine – CDSA 4(1)
•  Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine – CDSA 5(2)
•  Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of trafficking – Oxycodone – CDSA 5(2)
•  Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – marihuana – CDSA 5(2)
•  Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cannabis Resin – CDSA 5(2)
•  2 counts of Possession of Loaded Prohibited Firearm – CCC 95(a)
•  Pointing a Firearm – CCC 87
•  Careless Use of a Firearm – CCC 86(1)
•  4 counts of Carless Storage of a Firearm  – CCC 86(1)
•  2 counts of Possession of Firearm contrary to Prohibition Order – CCC 117.01(1)
