Centre Vie, a locally sponsored orphanage in Haiti, gives thanks
In the spirit of thanksgiving, the children of Centre Vie orphanage in St. Marc, Haiti, wish to thank the generous donors of the community of Mississippi Mills for their recent contribution to the support of the orphanage.
Generous contributions in response to recent articles in the Millstone — a locally sponsored orphanage in Haiti, needs help and the Community Presbyterian Church Yard and Bake Sale — have made it possible to restore infrastructure at the orphanage that had been badly damaged by the tropical storm and earthquake that hit Haiti in August of this year.
The children are also very grateful for your donations which made it possible for them to have school supplies and uniforms for the upcoming school year. Thanks to your donations, food supplies of rice, beans and corn have also been replenished for the children.
The children and staff of Centre Vie wish to say, “Thank you, Merci, Mesi!”
If you wish to have more information on the orphanage, please contact Dieudonne Batraville at centreviecevim2017@gmail.com or Marsha Guthrie at marshaguthrie@hotmail.com.
