On Sunday, February 17, the Ottawa Sun published this story about the tragic death of Almonte youngster Joey Paquette and the spontaneous outpouring that helped the family financially in the immediate aftermath.
Said Joey’s dad Ed, “What happened to us, it was like being helped by your family,” he says. “Except in our case, it was one big family called Almonte.”
